GAModern Gravity
Strategic Answers You Can Defend.
The Truth Layer for AI agents and the people who defend the number.
An analytics agent for the strategic questions you own and have to defend upstream. Whatever your function, Modern Gravity grounds the answer in your data, your definitions, and your context. Every answer sourced. Every number traceable to where it came from.
Numbers Grounded. Audit Traceable. Board Legible.

The Pain Today
Pointing an Agent at Your Data Breaks Three Ways
You take Claude, Copilot, or whatever your team is on, point it at your data, and ask the strategic question. The answer comes back in one of three flavors.
1. Aggregates that drift on time math
Same question, two different answers, depending on whether the model picked your fiscal calendar or the calendar calendar. You cannot tell which one ran until someone re-checks the SQL.
2. Details wrong from hallucination
Numbers fabricated mid-answer. The agent sounds confident through every word. The board prep doc goes out, the meeting goes sideways.
3. No understanding of the business
KPIs that mean something specific to your company come back generic. Nuanced channel and operating-segment definitions flatten. The answer is technically about your data and substantively wrong.
That is the gap Modern Gravity is built to close.
The Current Baseline
Numbers validated on a synthetic analytics dataset. The 0.95 target applies to registered KPIs with the metric registry and quorum verifier active. Reproducibility instructions publish with the metric registry at GA.
Pain 1. Time Math.
Your Calendar, Not the Model's Guess
Your fiscal calendar, your week-start, your period boundaries are not assumptions the model has to guess. They live in your brain as canonical definitions your operating leaders own.
Every aggregate Modern Gravity returns is computed against the time semantics your business has already locked. Q3 means what your business says it means.
The period definition ships with the answer, every time. Same question, same period, same answer. No drift.
Pain 2. Hallucinated Details.
Numbers Grounded, Not Generated
Every number Modern Gravity returns is computed from your actual data, not generated by the language model. The agent asks for the number; deterministic SQL produces it. The model wires the answer; it does not invent the figure.
Each answer ships with its receipt. The SQL that ran, the aggregated rows it read, and the metric definition the answer respects. A claim and the work behind it land together. A second frontier model from a different family verifies every answer before it publishes; two families have to agree.
Underneath, the architectural boundary is the row. The answering model reads aggregates and summaries, never the individual record. Your CDO can audit it; your CEO does not have to think about it. Either way, the number you see was grounded, not generated.
Pain 3. No Understanding of the Business.
Your Operating Team Opens a File
Every other product in this category assumes a data engineering team stands up the model. OWL, RDF, proprietary schemas, semantic-layer YAML. None of them are readable by the people who actually own the metric.
Modern Gravity's business knowledge structure is designed in plain text. An operating leader will open a file in any text editor, edit a metric definition, and the agent will respect it on the next query. No re-deployment. No engineering ticket.
The business owns the definitions. Literally.
One Context Layer
Your Team Searches It. Your AI Reads It.
The business-context layer Modern Gravity builds does not exist only for the agent. Your team searches it directly: metric definitions, period boundaries, operating-segment structures, the decisions that determined what a KPI means at your company.
When your team and your AI draw from the same layer, the answer the agent returns is the same answer a senior analyst would reach, because they are working from the same ground truth.
The Comparison
Where Modern Gravity Sits in the Category
Versus enterprise GraphRAG (Stardog, Palantir)
Designed for mid-market pricing posture, not $1M-plus enterprise ACVs. Final pricing tiers publish at GA.
Versus bundled semantic foundations (Microsoft Fabric IQ, Databricks Unity Catalog Business Semantics)
Portable across warehouses, BYO LLM, and deployable inside the stack you already run. Not locked to one cloud or one vendor stack.
Versus accuracy-leading analytics agents
The model never reads a raw data row, regardless of how the question is shaped. The boundary holds by design, not by policy.
Versus catalog and metadata layers (Atlan)
Plain-text business knowledge structure your team edits in any text editor, not a vendor-defined schema your data engineering team maintains.

Bring Your Frontier Model
Use your existing frontier-model entitlement or bring your own. Modern Gravity plugs into your Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or Meta access, whether that runs through AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, or a direct provider contract. Cross-family verification is enforced by methodology: two model families from different providers have to agree before the answer publishes.
Decision Trace
Every Gravity answer is grounded in three things at once: the knowledge graph (your business meaning), the active context (the specific signals working memory pulled in), and the decision trace (the steps the agent took, with confidence at each stage). Objective, constraints, and policies are explicit at the top; the recommended action and its confidence are explicit at the bottom. Illustrative prototype below; live decision traces ship per engagement.
Outputs
Board-Grade Answers, Audit-Grade Receipts
Verified Answers
Modern Gravity is designed so every answer will ship with the SQL that produced it, the aggregated rows that informed it, and the metric definition the answer respects. Receipts will be attached to every claim at GA.
Metric Registry
Canonical KPI definitions with owner sign-off. The verifier is designed to recompute each answer against an alternate SQL implementation. Disagreement will surface. No silent drift.
Quorum Verifier (roadmap)
Five independent reasoning passes; the answer ships only when they agree. Phase 2 capability targeting board-grade accuracy on registered KPIs.
Audit Packets
Every answer will be reproducible. Each reproduction will include the run identifier, the tool calls, the SQL, the aggregate rows queried, and the metric definition version. Compliance-ready by design.
Built for Industry
Where the Aggregate-Only Architecture Pays Back
Mid-Market Software
Your operations leader needs the revenue answer. Modern Gravity is designed to deliver it with the SQL receipt and the metric definition attached, on the warehouse you already run.
Marketplaces and Multi-Sided Platforms
The aggregate-only architecture is designed so the model can compute take-rate, gross margin, and contribution without ever touching a take or seller row. Board-defensible by design.
Healthcare and Regulated Industries
Aggregate-only architecture is designed as the compliance answer. The model will never read the protected row. Auditor-ready by default.
Financial Services
Plain-text business knowledge structure is designed so your controllers own the metric definitions. Audit packets are built to reproduce the answer end to end. The verifier is designed to surface drift before the board sees it.
Retail and CPG
Margin questions, returns rate questions, channel-mix questions. Modern Gravity is designed to answer them on the existing warehouse, with the definition your merchandising team owns in plain text.
Professional Services
Utilization, realization, project margin. The questions partners ask every Monday. Modern Gravity is designed to answer them with the same definitions the partners ratify.
Designed to Integrate With
On Top of the Stack You Already Run
Gravity sits on top of your existing warehouse and semantic layer. Read-only access by default. No data movement, no replication. Live integrations show in full color; designed integrations show in grayscale until they ship.
BYO LLM supported. Two independent frontier model families verify each answer by default. Customer-configurable across providers. On-prem option for regulated industries.
Buyers
Mid-Market, Board Legible
Decision Leader
The executive who has to defend the number. Verified answers and reproducible audit packets make leadership sign-off on agent output possible for the first time.
VP Data and Analytics
Technical sponsor. Plain-text business knowledge structure removes the data-engineering bottleneck on metric updates. Aggregate-only architecture removes the row-leak compliance risk.
Chief Data Officer
Architectural sponsor. Modern Gravity is portable across deployment postures, including air-gapped. It fits inside the architecture you already run without requiring you to rebuild around it.
