No. Modern AI Inc. (modernai.io) is the Truth Layer of AI Systems, founded by Matt Kott. We build four products: Modern Discovery, Modern Gravity, Modern Friction, and Modern Foundation measure how your business is seen, trusted, experienced, and understood by AI. We are not affiliated with modern.ai, which is a separate ecommerce data platform. Our domain is modernai.io with no dot between modern and ai.

What does Modern AI Inc. do?

Modern AI Inc. (modernai.io) builds the Truth Layer of AI Systems. Our flagship product, Modern Discovery, measures how visible your brand is in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity using AVI (AI Visibility Index) and Shortlist Share metrics. We help enterprises understand how AI systems see, trust, experience, and understand their brand.

What is Modern Discovery?

Modern Discovery is Modern AI Inc.'s AI competitive intelligence platform. It measures brand presence in AI-generated answers using two core metrics: AVI (AI Visibility Index) and Shortlist Share. 1. Overview

Modern AI Inc. ("Modern AI," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who interact with our website and services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

This policy applies to modernai.io and all Modern AI products and services. For enterprise clients, additional data handling obligations may be defined in your engagement agreement or a separate data processing addendum.

Usage data. Pages visited, time spent, browser and device type, and referral source when you visit our website. This is collected via standard analytics tools.

Enterprise engagement data. For clients in active engagements, we receive information about your organization and designated contacts as required to deliver services.

We do not collect payment card information directly. Any payment processing is handled by third-party providers.

We use collected information to: (a) deliver and improve our services; (b) respond to inquiries and support requests; (c) communicate with enterprise clients about their engagements; (d) send operational communications (account notices, service updates); (e) understand how our website and products are used; and (f) comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information to serve third-party advertising.

4. AI Measurement Data

Modern Discovery measures AI visibility by querying publicly accessible AI systems (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Mode) using structured query sets. This measurement process does not involve processing personal data about individual users.

Measurement data is associated with brands, products, and organizations, not with individual people. Reports delivered to enterprise clients contain aggregate competitive intelligence, not personal information.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to improve the user experience. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

We use analytics tools to understand traffic patterns and page performance. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.

Enterprise engagement data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal and business records purposes.
